Capital Academy of Nursing — formerly known as Sri Jagannath Institute of Medical Science & Research — has come into existence with a noble vision to develop the art of complete health services: care of the sick, and physical, social and health education for the individual, the family and society as a whole.
Our purpose is the prevention of disease and the promotion of health — equipping young people, and young women in particular, to lead India's health services with skill and compassion.

Vision
To build a self-reliant trust where empowered people espouse the task of their own development on a sustainable basis. The organisation also strives to establish a full-fledged multi-specialty hospital, and has already started Manjari Devi Public School under the CBSE syllabus from the 2017–18 academic session.
Mission
Health is a fundamental human right. We endeavour to empower the downtrodden, destitute and SC/ST communities through organised effort — helping them become self-reliant and establish themselves both economically and socially. With this aim, the trust launched nursing education in the state in 2005.
