The Central Library of Capital Academy of Nursing serves as the academic and knowledge resource centre of the institution and plays a significant role in supporting teaching, learning, research, and professional development in nursing education. Designed to provide a peaceful, student-friendly, and intellectually stimulating environment, the library maintains a comprehensive collection of academic resources covering various disciplines of Nursing and Health Sciences.
The library houses an extensive collection of textbooks, reference books, national and international journals, nursing periodicals, magazines, newspapers, dissertations, and digital learning materials relevant to B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, and M.Sc. Nursing programmes. The collection is regularly updated to meet the evolving educational and clinical requirements of nursing education.
Spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with comfortable reading facilities, the library offers an ideal environment for study, research, and academic enrichment. A computerized library management system facilitates efficient cataloguing, circulation, and easy access to library resources. In addition to printed materials, students and faculty members have access to e-books, e-journals, online databases, internet-enabled resources, and digital learning platforms to remain updated with recent advances in nursing practice, healthcare, and research.
Separate reading spaces are available to encourage focused study, academic discussions, and scholarly activities among students and faculty members. The library continuously strengthens its collection and services in accordance with the guidelines and curriculum prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), affiliated university, and other regulatory authorities.

GENERAL RULES EGULATIONS FOR LIBRARY
- Every student and staff member shall be a registered library member and must carry a valid Identity Card while using library facilities.
- Strict silence, discipline, and decorum shall be maintained within the library premises.
- Mobile phones must be kept in silent mode while inside the library.
- Personal belongings, bags, and other materials should be deposited at the designated counter before entering the library.
- Library books, journals, and other resources should be handled carefully and returned in good condition.
- Marking, underlining, writing, tearing pages, or damaging library materials is strictly prohibited.
- Reference books, journals, Newspapers, magazines, dissertations, and project reports are meant for consultation within the library only.
- Students shall not transfer borrowed books to other users.
- Books must be returned or renewed on or before the due date.
- In case of loss or damage of a library book, the borrower shall replace the book with the latest edition or pay the prescribed replacement cost.
- Eating, drinking, and any activity that disturbs other users are prohibited inside the library.
- Suggestions for improving library services are always welcomed and may be submitted to the Librarian.
