Eligibilities: Candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Programme must fulfil the following eligibility requirements:

1.   Age Requirement
The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2026. Accordingly, the candidate should have been born on or before 31st December 2009. 
2.   Educational Qualification
The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science or Vocational Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from CHSE, Odisha or any other recognized Board, Council, or University considered equivalent. 
3.   Eligibility of Open School Candidates
Candidates who have passed the 10+2 Science examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) are also eligible to apply. 
4.   Minimum Qualifying Marks
o    Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually in the qualifying examination (10+2).
o    Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) taken together in the qualifying examination.
o    For candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the minimum aggregate marks required in PCB shall be 40%.
o    English is a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level for eligibility to admission into the Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme. 
5.   Odia Language Requirement (Applicable for State Quota Candidates Only)
Candidates applying under the State Quota must have passed minimum M.E. Standard Odia. 
6.   Residential Requirement (Applicable for State Quota Candidates Only)
Candidates applying under the State Quota must be a resident of Odisha as defined under the Government of Odisha norms. 
7.   Gender Eligibility
Admission is open to both male and female candidates. 
8.   Medical Fitness
Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the programme and shall submit a Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format.
